I posted this back in 2005 but I just found it available for purchase so I thought it was worthy of a post again.

The brains at ding3000 created this “Billy Wilder” shelf intended for making Ikea’s ubiquitous “Billy” shelving unit “wilder”. You can view their portfolio here.

The componibili system is now available in red as a special offering for 2007.

I don’t know if I can justify the price of this for you or not, but I do believe it is quite interesting, and perhaps some of you can appreciate the novelty of storage and seating combined into one chair with a nice contrasting color to highlight the space.

Modular furniture can be extremely handy to have. Though this looks to be an excellent size for children, I’m sure adults could utilize the pieces just as well.
