themselves and their children. Eco-Friendly: Every piece is made using hand loom silk, which produce ZERO
energy impact, resulting in 1 TON LESS of CO2 in a year than the same
job produced on a power loom. Hand loom weaving uses nine times
more labor than required by a power loom, thus providing many more
people with a livelihood and means of survival.
Fair Wages: The One Thread artisans earn cover their families’
living costs and leave 9.5% of the wage leftover to go into savings.
The company also funds the education of the artisans’ children, which
directly affects the future of nearly 120 children.
The label: Every product comes with a hand-signed label that indicates the name
of the artisan that made it and a little tidbit about what they believe in.
