Where do I even begin… this rug is so crazy freaking beautiful that I’m having heart palpitations. Did I mention that I’m in the market for an area rug? And this one has me dizzy. Did I also mention I’m drawn to the most expensive things, like a moth to a very bright lovely flamethrower? This rug by artist Nina Bovasso features 36 saturated colors and is GoodWeave certified, and if I owned it I would just point and stare.

Bravinlee programs is very pleased to announce the launch of BravinLee editions with hand-knotted rugs designed by artists Nina Bovasso, James Welling and James Siena. Made in Nepal, they are high quality, densely woven wool and silk, 100 knots per square inch. They are entirely handmade, from the spinning of the wool to the weaving on the loom. Each rug is unique, and has been crafted by weavers in the Kathmandu area, whose skills have been passed down through many generations. Tibetan wool is known for its durability, rich texture and subtle color variation. Each rug is signed and numbered by the artist. The GoodWeave certified label on the back of each rug is individually numbered and is the assurance that no child slave labor was used in the manufacture of our rug production. A portion of the purchase price of these rugs helps to educate children in the Kathmandu area. Custom sizes are available upon request.
