Pirwi Piasa Room Divider

Pirwi Piasa Room Divider -- $ 2433.00| Buy it here

If you’re in need of a room divider and have $2500, take this piece into consideration. If you buy it, good luck remembering the name as well as the legend from which it came.

The Piasa is part of the knitted furniture family designed by Emiliano Godoy. The pieces are joined in such a way that they can freely rotate to create different profiles. Its name comes from an Illini legend telling the story of the Piasa bird, which “was as large as a calf with horns like a deer, red eyes, the body covered with green, red and black scales and a tail so long it passed around the body, over the head and between the legs.” The Piasa won second place at the National Design Biennial 2007, Mexico City, and was selected for Madrid’s First Ibereroamerica Biennial in 2008.

Note: available only in black.

Materials: maple plywood, cotton rope, Livos finish
Dimensions: 72″h x 87″w

Clouds -- $ 440.00| Buy it here

No doubt you’ve seen this bouncing around on all the blogs, but here’s the buying info just in case you’re thinking about adding some interesting textile art to a wall.

Clouds is an innovative, sophisticated and colourful new tile concept for the home, designed by the internationally acclaimed Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, in collaboration with Kvadrat. The tiles can be used as an installation or be hung from a wall or ceiling. It’s up to you. Clouds evolves as you add elements to it, producing a unique three-dimensional effect, coating architecture in a fluid yet chaotic way. Inspired by the inviting irregularity of the surface, you construct your own piece and turn your vision into reality.

The tiles are made of one element and are attached by special rubber bands.
Clouds is available in 2 Kvadrat fabrics and 7 colour combinations.

Modular Mobile Plant Wall

Modular Mobile Plant Wall | View it here

Greenworks’ modular mobile plant wall at ICFF was definitely one of my favorite new products to hit the marketplace. Super lush plants thrive on a self-automated watering system, making for easy care in your home or office. (Plants are not included in the price listed; choice of plants are bought locally and customized to fit each customer.)

Because of the density of plants this wall is a health-bringing and superior alternative to traditional pots that are common at offices and in other public spaces. The intense growing allowed by this plantwall system gives the impression of a dynamic and vidid surrounding, a company caring for their employees or a prosperous business. The integrated self-automated watering and nutrition system makes the plantwall very easy to maintain.

Developed by Lisa Wacklin and Per Berglund

$2,800.00 per module, Buy it here or here.
(With plants, the estimated total price is around $4,000 or $5,000.)
