It’s a shame to have a trash can spoil the look of a room, and really, there’s no reason why you should have to suffer the sight of an ugly bag hanging over the side. This inner-receptacle-plus-outer-cover trash can tidies up that whole dilemma lickety-split.
12 x 8 x 8 inches.
Made in Japan.

Just add elbow grease. If your place is a pigsty and you’re short on the basics, this kit would be a convenient thing to get. Of course, you could get some of the items yourself and maybe save a few bucks, but that’s up to you. It’s also worth noting that this could be an excellent housewarming gift.
Contents: Baking Soda, Hydrogen Peroxide, Distilled White Vinegar, Spray Bottle, Tarpon Natural Sponge, Microfiber Dusting Cloths, Cleaning Rags, Natural Cleaning Solutions Booklet

Hand cranked music boxes, they’re not just for monkeys in red hats to dance to anymore… uh, right? This music box brings to mind the vintage versions, except it’s small enough to keep handy. Have a listen to what it sounds like on youtube:‘Valser d’Amelie’.
The nice illustration/graphic design on the package is by Maria Helena of the 2.2 design studio.
About 1.6″ x 2″ x 0.8″
Material: Metal, Paper
Available Tunes: ‘Are you lonesome tonight’, ‘La vie en Rose’, ‘My Way’, ‘Valser d’Amelie‘ (listen to it on youtube)

As a reminder, I keep on my door a list of things I need to bring with me before I leave the house. Of course, in a rush, I tend to not read it and end up forgetting half the stuff. I think a door knob organizer like this would be quite helpful because I could just put the actual items in it, ready to go.
Material: Felt
Colors: Black, Gray, Red

These Nambu Cast Iron bookends initially confused the heck out of me when trying to figure out who they were designed by… Here they say Tadahiro Baba, here it says Tetsutaro Nakabayashi, with the other cast iron items being T. Baba, here Tetsutaro Nakabayashi, while at DUDYE it definitely shows the bookends in the interview with Tetsutaro Nakabayashi (with a chrome version shown, very nice)… So, that’s what I’m going with. I’m guessing there’s an obvious connection that I just can’t find at the moment.

Oh my, have you seen this? Found while perusing images for the lítill terrarium, this glass box is crazy elegant. Finely crafted indeed at $9,500.00. Ouch.
Lindsey Taylor Design and Atlas Industries introduce ‘ladyslipper’, the first in a new line of terrariums, to be called the Wardian Case collection. In this collaboration, Taylor and Atlas seek to recapture the flavor of the Victorian Wardian case, forerunner of the modern terrarium, as both a finely crafted piece of furniture, and a piece of living art, an object of fantasy and wonder. ladyslipper presents a lush environment, planted with the orchid from which it takes its name, ferns, mosses, and other tropical plants, poised on an elegant base of steel and bronze.

I’ve always been drawn to terrariums. Too bad I have little to no luck with plants, otherwise I’d think about getting one of these quirky fellows from lítill. They’ve got quite a few shapes and sizes to choose from (starting at $125 for a 5″x6″), so take a look if you’re interested.

If you’re sympathetic to the goldfish and their usually small accommodations, picture these bookends holding flowers or corks or keys… there’s all sorts of things that could be put on display while serving the very worthy purpose of keeping your books in place.
Stands about 8″ tall x 5″ wide at base.

Your penmanship is probably lacking exercise, so think about sending one of these postcards to a friend or loved one to make their day. The flat-packed pieces create either a heart, bird, or pig, so they’ll get your note plus a visible trinket to remember your message by.
Designed by Anne Paso of Finland.
Pack includes directions for assembly.
