If I had known how inexpensive this table was, I would have posted it a long time ago. Patricia Urquiola is a genius and her designs are going at a premium these days, so I was thinking this table would have been a lot more expensive.
“designed by patricia urquiola for kartell, the t table was a giant hit in milan. manufactured in durable PMMA. the surface of the table is reminiscent of embroidery, resulting in a product that is functional and extremely decorative. 20″ diameter top. available in 3 heights: 11″, 14″, and 17″ and 6 colors, the t table can be used alone or in groupings. “

This might have been posted long ago (?), but this is a much better picture. Combining light and table surface functionality is such a space saver (and it saves money as well).
“The Tavola Luce side table is furniture and a lamp in one. A glowing cube appears to float within this deceptively robust table, bathing your room in atmospheric light…”

Light and airy, the I-beam table is sure to add some much needed horizontal surface area to your life without all the visual weight that ordinary tables would bring.

While I’ve seen one or two of this series before, never have I seen them grouped together in such an impressive way, nor in so many different colors. And, yes, of course, it is slightly more expensive than your usual run-of-the-mill side/coffee table, but it’s not your usual run-of-the-mill side/coffee table. So, there you have it.
“The Diana series numbered from A to F allow you to create your own art installation. Side table? Cubist Sculpture? Lectern? Notebook stand? Reference library? Konstantin Grcic’s new series of sheet metal tables is open to a wide range of interpretations and uses and, most importantly, to the imagination. Just as words are built from letters, the Diana tables combine with other furniture and objects in ever-varying visual contexts. With the Diana alphabet from A to F, a living room can be transformed to a CAFE or to a word from an entirely new, entirely personal language. iF Award Winner & reddot Award Winner.”

If you’re wanting to add some Gehry pieces into your home, this little block table is a relatively affordable way to do it.
“Absolutely a perfect accent piece and a great way to incorporate a piece of Frank Gehry’s work in virtually any interior. This block cube made out of cardboard will add texture and “edginess” to any space. New from Vitra, this piece is available in all natural or with your choice of one side in the new trim colors of white, orange, or green.”

I think I like this table. It’s a good price and kind of fun (and who am I kidding, it’s acrylic).
“This simple acrylic table resembles a transparent tablecloth. Light, visually stimulating, and an incredible value! Perfect as an occasional table or several clustered to create a coffee table in front of a sofa.”

I really like this little table. And even though I’m not usually a big fan of birch wood, I think this table could use a coat of oil or wax and it would fit in nicely with some of your more sophisticated pieces. Another great thing about it is that the top lifts off for use as a tray.

What nice legs you have, little table. And it’s made of Environ, which is a biocomposite of recycled paper pulp. I haven’t heard of that before, but it sounds good and responsible.
Color: Midnight (shown) or Sunset.

I thought this was a delightful little table with an equally diminutive price.
“Sturdy, compact design with a clever rim keeps items contained. Perfect choice for bedroom, living room or any small space. Laminated wood top with birch veneer. Metal, chrome-plated base.”

Lookit! It’s an end table and a light all in one. The small inner square contains the bulb and the cord/socket is at the bottom of the inner square. It’s a nice size too.

This is decently priced/decently designed little side table. Sure, it’s made out of man-made materials, and that might not be your favorite, but it’s also only 60 bucks.
