Honey Jar

Honey is usually such a sticky mess, but with this Honey Jar you might just master the art of serving it with grace and elegance. The lid incorporates a dipper for easy serving, so, as long as you don’t sling it everywhere in your haste to add honey to your toast/tea/etc., you’ll not have annoying drips down the side of the bottle or jar. Tidy and efficient.

Pinorama Board

All those little pieces of paper and bits and bobs scattered about, just where are you going to put them? Maybe on a perforated metal sheet, with a partial cork backing like this Pinorama Board by Inga Sempe for HAY? I’d say it’s as good as any other place, especially as it has a range of accessories (shelves, mirrors, cylinders, an elastic net(!), and hooks) to customize it just the way you want.

Water Clock

Whether you love or hate this clock, we can all agree it adds a different element to tell the time. Magnets are employed to let the two balls float on the water’s surface, giving a magical sense of movement. The red ball shows the hours, the white one the minutes. Add an extra receptacle on top of the ceramic base for a more vertical display.

Future Glass Set

The colors of the Future Glass Set remind one of the Spectra Vases, and, lo and behold, they’re from the very same glassworks Holmegaard. Peter Svarrer designed the Future Glass set in 2000, and more than a decade later they look just as lovely on the table… or in a gift box perhaps? Choose between Rose + Yellow, Blue + Green, or Lavender + Aquamarine.

Triangle Dinner Bell

There’s a certain nostalgia connected to a Triangle Dinner Bell like this one from Pat Kim- perhaps period films have us immediately imagining dinner time at an old farm? Whether your estate is vast or your apartment small, ringing a triangle will signify it’s time to sit down and eat, hopefully without our devices. The English Bridle Leather hanger conveniently holds the solid brass striker, making this hand bent steel triangle appropriate for display as well as use. A U Dinner Bell is also available.

HAY UU Trays

More Hay office miscellany, and this time it’s a tray for your writing implements and other small stuff. A sloped, scalloped surface provides ledges for odds and ends, and there are three sizes to fit however much you need. Do consider stacking several sized together for a bigger organizing option.

Ico Bottle Opener

Do you need that bottle opened? Let me just grab this icosahedron from the table here so I can open it for you. That’s exactly what you’ll be saying if you choose to add this opener to your current display of interesting objects scattered about your home or office. Fort Standard partnered with OTHR to produce this 3D printed bronze beauty; each of the icosahedron’s 20 facets functions as a bottle opener.

Fredericks & Mae Star Dominos

$38 is much better than $80, which is what these dominos used to cost. I think that means that they’re entirely affordable, and very worth snapping up before another price change. Fun fact: the name ‘domino’ is from the pieces’ resemblance to Venetian Carnival masks known as Domini, which were white with black spots. There’s also plenty of other games from Fredericks & Mae, ranging from $12.95 (playing cards) to $320 (bocce!).

Plumen 003 LED Light Bulb

A sexy lightbulb? Really? Well that’s an adjective everyone else is using, so, sure, it’s, uh, sexy. Let me introduce you to the Plumen 003. It is energy-efficient (it’s an LED) and gives off a focused, direct light directly below along with a softer sidelight. Similar to candlelight, it has a warm glow thanks to its center gold element. Unlike candlelight, it will last 10,000 hours. That means it will provide just the right amount of flattering ambient light to your oh-so-lovely features for a very, very long time. Add one above a workspace or add a few above a table; just be prepared for some ooo’s and ahh’s when your guests notice your “sexy” lightbulbs.

HMM TapeDispenser

Shall we talk tape dispensers? They’re somewhat necessary in our homes and office environments, yet most are clunky and boring. Not the HMM TapeDispenser, though, as it has a magnetic core holder which holds the tape gracefully in one-third of a traditional dispenser’s size. A weighted base allows for one hand to pull and tear the tape, so your other hand can juggle, sip coffee or give someone the bird.

Architectural Planter

Your favorite little plant might need a new home in this Architectural Planter. It’s small, so it’ll fit on your desktop (or windowsill?) and has three vertical slabs as its base. Plus, it comes with a drainage tray to catch any overwatering (so you daydream sometimes, no big deal). Let’s hope for a larger version, or a family of sizes to propagate all sorts of succulents.

ZZ CenterPiece

Please tell me you need a strange sort of tray for your next dinner party, because I’ve got just the thing: the ZZ CenterPiece. Isn’t it lovely in its asymmetrical-yet-functional design? Is the ebonized Walnut not beautiful with its zig zag topical pattern? It’s interesting enough to leave out all the time- maybe you could even put it in your entryway to catch keys and correspondence?

Fredericks and Mae Cork Coasters

I know what you need: this set of six silkscreened cork coasters from Fredericks and Mae. Why? Well, they’ll protect your furniture from hot and cold drinks, but, most importantly, they’ll make you happy every single time you move them around. Choose the Green/Red/Blue or Red/Blue/Yellow sets. There’s also the very fun Trivets in similar target designs.

Machine Collection Glassware

Do these glasses remind you a little bit of industrial light fixtures? That’s exactly what inspired them, and the result is a hefty sort of glassware with just an smidgen of decorative fluting (like a well-made suit with a pretty tie and pocket square). Choose between a large or small set of three.

Asplund Tati Coat Rack

Oh, how wonderful it would be to have additional coat storage, especially if that coat storage was the Asplund Tati Coat Rack. Designed by Johan Ridderstråle & Mats Broberg for ASPLUND Collection, the Tati Coat Rack is available in two different sizes and several colors (anthracite, white, violet, olive, nougat, deep blue and orange) as well as a base in either Carrara mabrle or black granite. Which one would look best in your entryway or bedroom? I vote for deep blue.
