Like a slinky, except it's made from cardboard and can be a vase, so it's better (maybe). Equal parts vase and plaything, this amazing contraption contorts into myriad shapes. The cardboard's unique honeycomb structure makes the piece extremely durable. It's crafted from natural renewable resources -with a high percentage of secondary fiber-making it eco-friendly, as well.$32.00-48.00, Buy it here. [posted by katie]

Ah, the memories. I'd opt for no streamers, but that's just me... There were lots of ways to get around when we were young...pedal cars, roller skates and skate boards all come to mind. But from the banana seats to the baseball card spokes, nothing beat the classic bikes from the seventies. In honor of those hot wheels, we present the Stingray Vase, sure to bring back memories of every wheelie you ever popped. Hand-sculpted to resemble a handlebar grip from those classic bikes, this 14" tall beauty looks great on any shelf, and is guaranteed to start up a conversation. Comes with removable streamers!Colors: Black vase w/choice of red, white, blue, black, or mixed streamers. Materials: Polyurethane rubber shell 14" tall w/4" diameter $120.00, Buy it here. Check it out- the stopper of this carafe can be nested underneath for use as a vase. Smart.
The generous round form of this mouthblown carafe/vase combined with the transparency and sheerness of the glass creates a timeless piece. The colored round crystal ball doubles as a top and a tactile magic ball. Place it on the top of the carafe as a seal or let it playfully peep out from its nest at the bottom of the vase adding a vibrant touch of color. The ball has a cut (grinded)surface, which stops it from rolling.Available in Black, Amethyst, and Clear H 12", W 6.5" $69.50, Buy it here.

Plastic heat-shrink tubing makes each of these seemingly delicate vases flexible.
The skin series vases are made of a heat sensitive plastic that when in contact with temperatures above 250 degrees will shrink in size. At first glance the vases appear to be made of a thin fragile porcelain, however once the vase is picked up it’s found to be soft and flexible. Because each vase is hand made and produced individually no two are exactly alike, however they all retain similar characteristics allowing the size and style of any vase to fit in with all the others.7", 6", and 4.5" $12.00 each, Buy it here. Two new(?) items from Muuto that I'm particularly liking are this vase and carafe.
Closely Separated Vase: (also available in yellow, 10.6" h), $162.00, Buy it here. by Michael Geertsen for Muuto Abstract bowls, plates and cups are merged in an intuitive way. Reminding us of the beauty in disharmony and how old things can lead to new, if we change our perspective. The object works on its own, but is given a function if flowers are added.I'm Boo Carafe: (3.39" dia. x 10.8" h), $94.00, Buy it here. by Norway Says for Muuto Boo is like the skin, or a balloon surrounding the water with openings that tell the simple story of fluid motion in and out of the glass.
