While this table lamp is a tiny bit high for my wallet, I do like the industrial feel. Designed by Jason Miller for Roll and Hill (you can also purchase the lamp here, fyi), the lamp was inspired by industrial parts found on Canal Street near Brooklyn. The Modo Chandeliers are also pretty impressive.

Yep, it’s just what you think it is- a mousepad for your floor. Digitally dyed in pleasing patterns, these nylon and rubber rugs are easy to clean (machine washable!) and skid-resistant. Unfortunately, they’re available in only two sizes: 23″x36″ or 46″x66″.

If you’re guilty of spending too much time in the shower, try to cut down on the dillydallying with a timer like this one. Each half rotation equals 5 minutes, and a suction cup keeps it attached right where you can see it. It’s an easy way to monitor your water usage.

Check out this lamp by designer Pavel Eekra. There’s no internal frame, just the 56 plates and screws configured in the pinecone form. Natural birch veneer is slightly transparent, which gives off a nice warm glow while also allowing light to be directed downwards. Here’s a fun photo application for you iPhoners. Gif Shop uses your phone’s camera to create animated gifs. I got the chance to play with it yesterday and it’s pretty fun! It’s very simple to use: snap a few photos, set the animation speed, and you’re done. You need to create an account to upload the gifs to the web, but from there you can also post to Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter. I goofed around and made a few examples, but here’s my best attempt at creating an amusing one for you all:

The Piano hanger takes the traditional coat hanger and smushes it flat against the wall. Inspired by traditonal piano hinges, each hook swings out when needed, and then folds back flat after usage. Check out this small plastic Bloccon (“block” + “icon”) watering can by designer Kazuya Washio. A little Lego-ish, isn’t it? It’s pretty small (350ml), so keep in mind it’s appropriate for house plants rather than a large garden.

To change position of this lamp, you simply place the base on one of its 24 faces. I’d have to see this in person to really know how easy it would be to maneuver, but I do like the simplicity of base-stem-light with no extra joints or pivots. Also, is there something a little golf-like about the faceted white base and club-ish head?
