Wow.
"forbidden _fruit.mgx, by dan yeffet, is an order of magnitude more complex than any bowl we've seen. this forbidden fruit isn't solid, but rather is made of all the things that make it forbidden, words like 'soft', 'sweet', 'tender', 'smooth', 'juicy' you get the picture." It's rare that we post a fruitbowl, but this one is well worth the space.

Holy. This is the nicest "dish" I've ever seen. In fact, I wouldn't even use it- I'd just admire it upon a table or figure out a way to hang it on a wall. "The detailing on this bird's wing dish continues on both sides to create a three-dimensional sculptural piece. Formed of white bisque porcelain by a company steeped in a 250 year tradition of craftsmanship, the superior quality of this dish will astound you." [posted by katie]

I'm a sucker for old ideas reinterpreted with modern processes, and here's another great example.
"Handcrafted using advanced metal processing technologies, this bowl is inspired by vintage Eastern European lace handkerchiefs collected in antique shops in Israel. Uniquely shaped and structured, each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation and can be used for serving or decoration. Stainless steel. Hand-wash only."

The fluid lines of these bowls look modern and elegant.
"Inspired by the aesthetics of clay in a mold that comes out too early and starts to beautifully slump. Designer Olav Slingerland picked precise moments in time during this process, and created molds to capture it. Their poetic, organic lines are embellished with delicious colored glazes."
