"Honored with the 2006 Red Dot Design Award, which acknowledges "the best of the best" in superior design quality, the Più (2002) is two tables in one, easily converting from a workspace to a dining or conference table with a few small adjustments. Named for the Italian word meaning "more," Più was inspired by simple door-and-sawhorse tables used by contractors and architects. The ad hoc design made sense to designers Catharina Lorenz and Steffen Kaz, who expanded upon the utilitarian concept. Employing a slab of tempered glass, they girded the table with moveable trestles to maximize the number of people who can be seated at the table. The white powder-coated trestle supports easily slide toward the edge or center. To further heighten the usefulness of Più, the designers added modular storage containers, available in sets (one large and one small) of white or orange, that slide onto the glass surface at any point along the edge. In an office, the steel containers can be slipped off and carted to another workspace or stowed. At home, the towers can be whisked away, the table set and the meal begun. Used as a table, Più comfortably seats four people."
